Although her husband Ben Affleck was not really in the images that Jennifer Lopez tweeted on Thursday from a charity poker night, she did give him a gift of jewels in his honor. The Marry Me actress accessorized her white Halston dress with a matching furry white coat and a plunging white bodice with a halter collar. She was sporting a gold pendant, drop earrings, and a sleek bun for her hair.
Just above the pendant rested a sweet “Jennifer and Ben” necklace, spelling out the words for everyone to read.
Later, she changed into a tiny black dress and replaced her tribute to Ben Affleck with an elaborate diamond necklace and matching earrings. The fluffy jacket was also worn with this ensemble, although this time it was black.
After getting married in a less formal ceremony in Las Vegas, Lopez wed Affleck in a lavish ceremony on the actor’s Georgia mansion in August. Lopez has been enjoying her tributes to her new husband. She wore a similar-style necklace that merely said “Mrs.” as she posed on the couch wearing her Intimissimi lingerie set.
Nearly 20 years before getting married, the pair initially became engaged. They parted ways, later falling into new relationships. Max and Emme Lopez, twins aged 14 with Lopez’s ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck wed actress Jennifer Garner; they have three children together: Violet, 16; Seraphina, 13; and Samuel, 10 years old. In 2015, Affleck and Garner got divorced.
Lopez discussed their reunion in her Vogue magazine cover story this month, “I always felt like there was a real love there, a true love there. When we reconnected, those feelings for me were still very real.”
Lopez said they reconnected when Affleck reached out to her after a magazine asked him for a quote about her. He had nothing but warm words, and wanted to let Lopez know. They stayed in touch and a new relationship blossomed — or a continuation of the old one after a healthy pause.
