Benjamin Mascolo discusses the “Time Is Up” sequel and collaborating with his ex-girlfriend Bella Thorne.
The thrilling sequel to the movie Time Is Up from 2021 is called Game Of Love. For the sequel, which continues Roy and Vivien’s narrative, Bella Thorne and Benjamin Mascolo reunited.
Bella is a fantastic actor. She was quite helpful when I worked with her on the first movie, said Benjamin. “She undoubtedly helped me feel comfortable on set by making me feel at ease. On the second film, Elisa Amoruso, the director, got to know us better. Because we learned more about how she operates, our interaction was incredibly positive. It was like filming an old movie and returning to our family.”
In real life, Benjamin and Bella started dating in 2019. They got engaged in 2021, but they broke it off in 2022. Benjamin said he “learned a lot” working with Bella during filming Game of Love.
“She act in a very natural way. Despite the fact that she has been doing it her entire life, I get the impression that she put a lot of effort into it from her presence to the way she handles situations to the way she defends her need for attention and extra time on set. I found that to be motivating,” Benjamin continued.
Benjamin had “no notion” that there would be a sequel when he created Time Is Up. “I was really grateful to have the chance to practise a new skill and make my first film. Because #1 was a hit, the fans granted us the chance to shoot #2, and their support has been incredible.”
In Game of Love, Roy and Vivien’s relationship is still fraught with difficulties. Benjamin made the observation that the couple’s “battle” in the sequel is different. Because love is essential, but it isn’t enough, “like every young couple, they have to go through a lot of hardships to get through it,” Benjamin remarked. “It goes beyond love alone. It’s all about giving up. It concerns choices in life. We can see how they’re dealing with it. Many young couples have these kinds of difficulties every day, so I think a lot of people can identify.”
Benjamin is clueless when it comes to a Game of Love sequel. The actor and singer said, “But I can say on my side, I’m fully open.” Both Bella and the team and I had a blast while we were shooting. I believe she is a fantastic actress. She’s a wonderful person, and I’m up for making a third movie. But you can never predict how things will turn out.
